Meet our Founder

To uplift and to empower others is the passion and purpose of Brown Elite Youth Elevation Foundation’s founder Wendell L. Brown Sr. This organization was created with the intent to provide resources and life improving opportunities to those who may have otherwise lacked them. Wendell knows the importance of youth having role models, having mentors, and of having positive influences and positive words spoken to them. Wendell’s desire to ensure young people all over the world have this and know, they have people who genuinely care for them and will be there to assist them on their way to success is why the BE Elevated Foundation was started. We give youth the personal tools and resources that are not only essential to their success but that also gets them there with the least amount of friction possible. The Ball State University football Hall of Famer graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice before using his education in the Detroit Law Firm Plunkett Cooney.

After which he decided to apply his education and knowledge to serve at risk youth as a treatment specialist within the human service organization Don Bosco Hall. The former professional football player career includes experience in America, Canada, Austria and other European countries. He also has experience coaching youth, high school, and collegiate football in the continents of North America, Europe and Asia. The Detroit native uses his work ethic, his athletic and education background, along with his passion for community service, as his driving force for success. It is his love for people, his love for giving to and growing others that fueled the fire that started the youth and community empowerment organization, Brown Elite Youth Elevation Foundation. Wendell is currently training athletes through his sports performance company, Brown Elite Sports Performance. He serves as the program director with the Detroit based Football Academy, Sound Mind Sound Body, where he also mentors, coaches, and trains young athletes. Wendell also holds the position as Linebacker Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coach at his Alma Mater Detroit Martin King Jr. Senior High School.
